Confirmed Reopening for some pupils - 1st June 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
Re: Confirmed reopening of school for some pupils – 1st June 2020
We hope you are enjoying the half term and that you are well. As you may know, the Government has now confirmed schools will reopen for certain year groups. As we shared in our letter dated 21st May 2020, the returning year groups will be in a maximum class size of 15, each group will be known as a ‘bubble’. Infant schools have been instructed by the government to prioritise Reception and Nursery. With the current required ‘bubble’ arrangements, we do not have the capacity for Year 1 and Year 2 to return.
Please see the plan from Monday 1st June below:
Start Date |
Year Group |
Daily Start Time |
Daily Finish Time |

The staggered start dates and times above will help to settle children back into school but also to social distance, where possible. Please make sure you arrive for the times above to ensure we can keep children, staff and parents safe during this time.
If your child or anyone in the household displays COVID-19 symptoms, children must not return to school and should follow Government guidance on isolation. If you suspect a child or a member of your household has COVID-19, please dial 111.
COVID-19 symptoms:
-
A high temperature
-
A new continuous cough – this means coughing a lot, for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours
-
A loss or change to sense of smell or taste – this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
All of the information about the arrangements at drop off and pick up are in our previous letter (21st May 2020). We ask that you take a look at this before visiting the school premises.
If you decide that your child will not be returning to school or your child cannot return to school, please email the school office. For the year groups that will not be returning at this time, online/remote learning will continue.
As always, the safety and wellbeing of every pupil is at the heart of all that we do and every decision we make. If we can be of any support or assistance, then please do not hesitate to contact us via the school office from Monday.
Stay safe and well. Best wishes,
Naomi and Cory
