History and Geography
History & Geography Overviews
Why History and Geography?
At Robinsfield, the aim of History and Geography is to teach the children about the world and allow them to discover and explore their place in the community. Learning is enquiry based and children are encouraged to make connections and discover links between events, individuals, situations and changes over time. Children are encouraged to develop transferable skills they can use across the curriculum and in later life, such as asking questions, thinking critically and weighing evidence. By presenting children with opportunities to compare similarities and differences, analyse various sources of information, and providing them with a sense of ownership, we hope to incite a life-long curiosity and fascination of the world.
