Welcome to Biscuit - Our Pets as Therapy Dog
Mon 26 Sep 2022We have had a long association with the charity Pets as Therapy. This organisation links owners and their pets with schools, hospitals, hospices and other community settings.
We have been lucky enough to be chosen to have a new therapy dog. His name is Biscuit and his owner’s name is Helen.
Both Biscuit and Helen have had to pass assessments and undergo training to enable them to be able to be in schools.
Biscuit will enable children to spend time with a very calm and friendly dog and understand how to behave around him and approach him. Many children that find some human relationships challenging can make strong and beneficial relationships with a therapy dog. Biscuit is very patient and loves being around children and likes listening to children read.
We are fully aware that there are some children that may chose not to spend time with a dog and we are respectful and understanding of this.
We are sure you will join us in welcoming Helen and Biscuit onto the federation team.

We kept trying and thought carefully about what to include and what to leave out. As always, Year 2 were fantastic role models for Robinsfield.
